On 21st August 2007, we had the great pleasure of celebrating the 100th birthday of Mother Anne who has been in this Carmel since 1941 and has been influential in the life of this community in Dysart. Our Cardinal, Keith Patrick O'Brien offered Mass for her on the day, and many family and friends were able to join with us in thanking God for her many years of service to Carmel and to the Church. |

We have a selection of illuminated cards for every occasion. We specialise in religious cards, but have also scenes and flower prints. We aim to uplift the mind to the beauty of God's creation which is all around us. Our main selection is for Christmas and Easter, but we also have Mass Cards for the living and for the dead. Sympathy cards on the death of a friend, Birthday cards, various occasion cards, and ones suitable for any occasion. Also notelets, "thinking of you" and "thank you" cards. We also do printing to order - headed stationery, memorial cards for a deceased relative and acknowledgement cards. We will soon have a mini catalogue on the website, but if you live in the UK and wish a full catalogue and price list, please send an e-mail to: We now also have our new Christmas 2007 catalogue available. I do not think it would be economically possible to send catalogues abroad, but if you wish to order cards from abroad, then the airmail postage would be added to the cost of your order. We regret that overseas orders require payment in advance. Thank you! Although our printing is very much "in house" we hope to expand with our e-mail contacts.

Over the years of receiving e-mails, there have been many people who have expressed an interest in our way of life. For most this will not mean actually becoming member of a Carmelite Religious Community, for some it can mean a dedication to what is called the Secular Order, but for the ones whom God has called to serve Him as a Carmelite Nun, it will mean entering one of our Monasteries as a postulant and undergoing the training involved. If you feel called to the Carmelite way of life, the first move would be to contact the Carmelite Friars or Nuns who are closest to you geographically. If you live in Britain, we can point you in the right direction. If you live outside Britain, the best way would be to go to the web page of the Generalate of the Carmelite Order which has addresses for all the Monasteries of Nuns in the world. Here is the link to the Order's site :
Mount Carmel Retreat Centre in Glasgow is closing, and the Carmelite Fathers are moving into a new ministry of Parish work in the Glasgow Archdiocese. The Farewell Mass was held on Sunday 23rd September 2007 and they will start their new ministry at the beginning of October. |

However, we will not reply to these requests, but will put them where all may see them and pray for you and yours.
