Sisters working in the Kitchen

Three Sisters all from the same family. There were five Carmelite Sisters altogether.

The Sisters at prayer in the Choir.

That is the name we use for the part of the Church for the exclusive use of the Sisters

The Sisters can also pray in the extensive grounds of the Monastery

St Teresa of Avila

This is a statue of the foundress of the Discalced Carmelite Nuns and Friars. Her spiritual teaching is followed by many people all over the world. She defined prayer as :

"A loving conversation with a friend who understands us."
